FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK

On the First Friday of every month be sure to visit the Historic Great Falls Downtown District. Visit the many of the local art galleries and the History Museum for FREE, listen to FREE live music at Bert & Ernie's and the Breaks, and enjoy a FREE tour of the Historic Great Falls Downtown District on the Great Falls Historic Trolley. Take the time to meet and greet the many local artists and musicians who have come to Great Falls to share their artistic and musical talents. Hana Pestle from Billings performed at Bert & Ernie's during our December 2007 First Friday Art Walk. She just opened in Colorado for a Collective Soul concert. You never know who you will meet during First Friday Art Walk. Don't miss your chance to meet the next C.M. Russell or the next David Cook.

ALIVE @ 5 IS HERE AGAIN

The Alive @ 5 committee has been working hard all year to bring us another year of excitement and fun for downtown. The events are every Thursday night in a different location. Many of the local shops stay open late, there is always lots of good food and games for the kids. Stop down at any sponsor to pick up a pocket calender that list each location and band for the week.

THE GREAT FALLS’ FARMER’S MARKET

Opening day for the 2008 season of the Great Falls’ Farmer’s Market is June 7th. Our Market Bucks prize giveaway was so popular last year that we are bringing it back. There will be a prize giveaway at every Market and a grand prize on Customer Appreciation Day, September 13th. To enter the drawings collect one Market Buck for every $5.00 you spend at participating vendors, fill in your name and phone number and deposit your Market Bucks in collection containers throughout the Market.

The Great Falls’ Farmer’s Market is the biggest family-friendly social event in Great Falls and it happens in the Civic Center Park every Saturday from 7:45am to noon June through September. On July 9th we add a Wednesday evening Market from 4:30 to 6:30pm. There’s something for everyone whether you’re looking for fresh fruits and produce, baked goods, jams and jellies, or a unique gift from one of our many talented crafters. Feeling hungry? There’s food for every taste including fry bread, smoothies, porkies on a stick, and much more. Pony rides for the kids, a variety of musicians, and special events round out the list of fun things to do and see. You won’t want to miss it.
